Dear DPF Members,
A couple of weeks ago the Chairline needed, at short notice, a DPF logo. The logo made as a temporary
expedient is
We are sure you can do better! To that end we are organizing a competition

Here is my logo entry!
Hello there! Here is my design.
Nadia Gordon
A compressed version now.
I had two ideas, so I thought I would submit another one as well. Hope you like it!
Thanks!
Oh, just noticed a typo .. Here’s the updated one. Thanks!
Question: do submissions need to include the complete and unaltered APS physics logo?
As far as we understand APS rules – yes, the APS logo should be in the design. However, it can always be put side by side with the DPF logo, like in the version submitted above by Conway.
Oh.. I did not think the two logos had to go together.. Here are the final versions then.
And the other one. Thank you!
This logo has the form a Feynman diagram, with the “F” for “Field” in the place of the carrier boson for the field. The Font is Times New Roman, like that of the APS logo, and the colors match those of the APS logo, too.
25% Compressed view.
An effort to convey a search for the organization of fundamental constituents of matter.
bubble chamber…
including APS logo (and ATLAS event display)
Here’s a horizontal format logo with a look that might be called classic, conventional, or conservative.
By the way, APS has an official page with the logo usage guidelines: http://www.aps.org/about/logo.cfm
I learned from this page that there is an APS art director. I never knew that.
Here’s a more compact, classic (or conventional) logo. I imagine it might be useful to have a compact logo with roughly square aspect for use in instances where space is limited.
Is anyone else having a problem with the logos being cut off by the website? I can see only parts of the logos. I have to right-click and use “view image”, or download, to see the entire image. Not a big deal, just wondering.
you can always right-click on it and select “view image”

Thanks!
